Buttons? So many buttons? What the heck? When I am on Amazon I have no problem with finding the add to cart and the buy now buttons. I hadn’t ever really thought about what those do. Well since I am building my own site this is something I have had to think about now.
There is now a wonder in me. What do I want to accomplish when someone clicks a button on my website? There are so many things that they can do. They can link to another website, a different page on my website, play a video, initiate a popup, and even get someone’s payment information. These are just a few of the things buttons can do. The Power! “insert evil laugh here” There is probably a button for that too.
Regarding the payment button, there are a few good options out there for those who are selling something. Security and customer service are paramount concerns. The other concerns are how much does this service cost? And will I be able to track payments and keep a customer log through the payment service?
I am not needing a payment button on my website but it is nice to know that it is an option and that I now understand the information just in case I have to at some point in the future apply this to my own site. The world of e-commerce is so very vast and intriguing.
